Sonic Journeys: Unveiling the Mumush 4.0 Musical Concept

This year, the sound at Mumush will be absolutely captivating, from sunrise to sunset! This edition of our gathering has been carefully curated to provide you with a full spectrum of experiences. We’ve poured our hearts and souls into crafting a musical lineup that offers just the right variety of moods, so you can choose which ship to sail on. Our captains hail from all corners of the waters, and trust us: they are well-equipped to navigate any conditions that come their way.

Our four musical spaces are unique, yet together they function as a well-oiled mechanism, creating a harmonious whole. We’ve learned from past experiences and made adjustments to ensure a seamless connection between the spaces and the musical styles. We guarantee that at least one of the stages will resonate with your vibe at any given moment.

The two main stages — Gargantua and Arboretum — have had a change of heart and swapped their thrones!

This time, the Arboretum will host a rich array of live music performances from across the globe. Our mighty meadow will feature a new stage and area design that promises to elevate your concert experience.

Meanwhile, Gargantua will host a dazzling spectrum of DJs and soundscapes, perfect for bringing the Mumush citizens together. Whether you’re craving high-resonance psychedelia or in the mood for a sunshine dance, you’re in for a treat!

Their little brother, Ambrosia Stage, now a seasoned chef, is more prepared than ever with a wide array of flavors. Just take a deep breath near the Mumush food center and let your senses be mesmerized. This will be Ambrosia’s second manifestation, creating a unique gastronomic and musical space where our taste buds send simultaneous impulses to our minds through our tongues and ears.

The Jam Stage this year is taking a giant leap forward! The musical journey starts with exciting workshops at noon, and open jams in the afternoon which will be conducted and supported by a band of professional musicians. So don’t hesitate to grab an instrument if you’re interested; if you are open and in the present, you are ready to go with the flow!

Beside these vibrant musical areas, Mumush is offering even more than you might expect. Music will also be flowing in the healing area, featuring cacao ceremonies, sound baths, and rituals. And let’s not forget the spontaneous thanksgivings in the forest — those have become a beloved tradition over the past few years!

If that’s not enough to get you excited, this year our beloved gathering introduces a hypnotic DAY 0! It’s designed to catapult you into a new perspective and kickstart your entire festival experience. So let’s give it a try and meet at Mumush World one day earlier than last year! See you on the dance floor Wednesday, August 14, at 5 PM, to start our sonic journey and to dive together deep into that Mumush magic!

Personal Note

In my experience, music is everywhere, and everything vibrates, creating its own unique sound. Thoughts, objects, feelings — everything has its own tune. When we find ourselves in the same resonance, we tap into a shared field of energy, connecting with one another on a deeper level. For me, this feeling of togetherness in sound is what makes music what it truly is: one of the strongest tools for community-building and one of the deepest spiritual experiences of our time.

From my perspective, this year’s musical lineup is more exciting than ever—it’s packed with ear candy and quality resonance experiences for both body and soul! I’m already in a bit of a pickle because I know I can’t be at two stages at once. (But let’s imagine for a moment, how cool would that be?)

The truth is, we always have to make a choice! And there’s no such thing as a good or bad choice; there’s only the act of choosing. So let’s embrace the adventure!

Go ahead, pick an unknown band or set, and let Mumush surprise you! If I had to recommend a specific set or moment of musical magic, I couldn’t possibly choose — there’s just too much to explore! Instead, I encourage all you Mumush inhabitants to pick a time zone, wander around the festival, and choose the mood, the people, the company, the atmosphere, the food and the drink. Choose the surroundings, chase the surprise, and embrace the musical freedom. Don’t be shy or afraid to change radically and shake things up! You’ll have the privilege to choose from four different musical atmospheres throughout all four days of the festival.

The best part of this full-spectrum stew of genres and moods is that you can indulge in your favorite sounds while also discovering something completely new that might just blow your mind! A totally unknown style could bring you to a whole different kind of experience and could easily become a new favorite from that moment on. You could fall in love with a style you never knew existed, igniting a spark that gives you butterfly-wings.

So please just pick up a totally unknown band or set and let Mumush surprise you!

Be mindful that you are always safe here to try new soundscapes and weird body movement, and the most interesting musical moments could be those that take you on a journey outside of your comfort zone. Unleash your curiosity and shake off those preconceptions! It’s time to let your inner Mumush run wild and dance like nobody’s watching — embrace the weirdness! Let’s gather in the spirit of freedom and lose ourselves: let’s meet in music!
